I had the occasion to use this cutter when a friend of mine brought his on a trip I was on. I think it's the best cutter out there - very solid, and the gear mechanism makes each and every cut even and consistent. I came back from that trip and bought one of my own. I love it, would buy again and definitely will recommend it to others.

I was excited to receive my new cutter. After opening the box, I was a bit discourage as to the actual size of it. I thought it would be larger and heavy duty for the price. It cuts nicely but I may have been better off with a heavier, less expensive, cutter. It is unique and I haven’t seen another one like it. Right now I’m just up in the air about it.

I've used some other Xicar cutters and this design gives a great grip for cutting a variety of shapes. I've used it on round, box pressed and pyramid shapes so far, all with great clean cuts. No tearing the leaf. I've only used it for 6 cigars so far. But so far I really like it. Most of my cigars are 50-56 guage. Looks like you could fit a 60 in there but I haven't tried.

Perfect cut every time. It has a different feel that you have to get used to vs. a traditional Xikar cutter, but you can’t argue with the results. This delivers consistently better cuts than any other cutter. If you value performance over style, this is the cutter to get.

I won mine in a charity auction with a great package of cigars and accessories. Have had mine since August 2017 and perfect cut every time. Always like butter no matter the ring size. Best cutter I have had.

I've been using this cutter for about a month now and I just love how two blades meet in the middle. Xikar took ordinary two bladed cigar cutter and turned it into well functioning machine. What an ingenious idea!!

Meh... this was underwhelming, dont get me wrong, its a GREAT cutter but I feel it was not finished. It doesnt quite feel like a Xikar piece. It lacks the quality finish I associate with their products. it feels good in the hand as a static object but when you shake it there are definitely rattles and you feel the inner components move around no doubt due to the gear system. Also when you operate it, the action is rough, like the gears are corroded or not cut precisely. This cutter doesnt have the fluidity and TIGHT snappy build of all their other items. The cutter strikes me as a poorly executed version of a wonderful concept. Rushed through production and released too early before the kinks were worked out, also the blades rub pretty badly against the frame, I have had it for a day and already am seeing scuff/rub marks on the blades. This strikes me as a beta product that should have been refined before being released.
