The Regular Sir Walter Raleigh blend employs a rich mixture of air-cured Kentucky Burley tobaccos to create a smooth, slightly sweet smoke. The primary notes are cocoa and nuts, but this complex blend also features hints of anise and molasses. It has both a nice aroma and rich tobacco flavor, making it a strong choice for an all-day smoking blend. It's remained popular since it was originally released in 1927, and you will see why when you try Sir Walter Raleigh Regular pipe tobacco, along with great value and service from Cigars International!
Classic Burley. Nutty and slightly chocolately. No aromatic additives. Smokes great. Medium in body with a fair nicotine kick. Really enjoy it
I tried it twice, and have concluded that I just don't like it. It seemed to me a bit like smoking a high-end cigarette. I felt the taste was a bit stale. Sorry, Sir Walter Raleigh! I'll give the aromatic version a try...
A decent smoke for a great price. I really like the cut of this tobacco, it helps it burn smooth and evenly also packing it is much easier. I would say this tobacco is a Medium blend. I will be buying this again it is a good brake every now and then from aromatic blends.
While I am a C.I. fan of cigars... I recently cleaned up my pipe collection and ordered a pouch of SWR. It smokes the same as I remember it from the 80's. Very easy to pack.. no bite... nice room not.. not an aromatic by any means... but a good straight forward smoke for your pipe. Try this in a corn cob pipe.. you will be surprised.
Good tobacco, quite satisfied with the pack I bought. Has a smooth salty sweet smoke to it. A good change of pace from the really sweet aromatic tobaccos I usually smoke.
