Happy 10 years to The Edge!

After a much-anticipated delay, Rocky Patel The Edge A-10 is ready for enjoyment, and it was well worth the wait. Crafted in celebration of the 10th anniversary of one of Mr. Patel’s most coveted lines, The Edge, A-10 is nothing short of a showstopper. The Edge initially hit shelves in 2004. A-10 was the result of intense hard work and effort, as Rocky demanded only the best tobaccos adorn this anniversary blend. But good news, the standards have been exceeded by leaps and bounds.

Sporting a barber pole wrap from primary band to foot band, A-10 catches the eye from a mile away. The dual wrapper utilizes the maduro and Corojo leafs that were used on the original Edge releases. Beneath, a Honduran binder can be found with vintage long-fillers from Panama and Nicaragua filling out its core. Refined notes of sweet spice and leather can be found stemming from the maduro wrapper, with hints of black pepper and earth appearing as a result of the Corojo wrapper. Quantities are extremely limited for this 10-year anniversary blend, so I recommend scooping up a gaggle before everyone else discovers the gold mine.

I received these cigars in a beautiful box a few weeks ago, the cigar looks fantastic as well, love the striped look of the cigar. One issue so far, I can't seem to keep these sticks lit. I tried smoking three different cigars from this box on three separate occasions, and each one failed to stay lit. I've enjoyed cigars for decades, so I don't think it's me...hoping they just need to cure a bit more, we'll see.

I love the looks of the cigar and the medium flavors are well balanced, however...I'm not sure why, but I'm having a hard time keeping these sticks lit. I received a full box about a two weeks ago, they came in a fantastic looking box. I immediately placed them in my humidor. Had some friends over and gave these a try...for some reason, I couldn't keep them lit, the draw seemed fine, they just wouldn't stay lit though. Not sure if they just need to season more in my humidor...

10th anniversary barber pole heck yea! All the classic Edge flavor in a barber pole package. These smokes are on my o have around. Take this RP out and celebrate.

Came for the looks, stayed for the experience. I was fully expecting a cigar that was all looks. But damn, it stands it's ground against my favorites, Olivia Milano V many My Father selections. This is probably the most reliably lit I've ever had as well. The only drawback I noticed is it didn't keep a perfect edge, ironically.

I don't know exactly what it is about these that I'm so drawn to... perhaps the barber pole wrapping along with the green label? Maybe how the taste varies throughout... a bit of an adventure for the pallet. Even with a 90-point rating it doesn't seem to get its due but it is a steady seller in the shops that I frequent so enough people are in-the-know. Whatever it is about these, I keep them on-hand at all times. It's not a daily smoker for me, instead a once-per-week-reward of sorts. I find it quite comforting and yet surprising at times. A cigar to become lost in.

The A10 is my favorite of all Rocky Patel Cigars. It is a true medium to full cigar with plenty of flavor. It burns very evenly and the barber pole wrapper adds to its good looks too.

I have really liked the Rocky Patel Edge A-10's. I typically smoke Rocky Patel's, but my last few boxes have been these. I like the barber pole look of them and am still intrigued by the way they burn evenly while going back and forth across the different leaf. The flavor is comparable to the RP 1990 vintage that I also like a lot.

Tried my first RP Edge A-10 the other evening, I was very, very surprised. Excellent draw, even burn . This cigar never burned hot and complimented my Jim Bean Honey in the evening while watching the Super Moon. Buy it, smoke it you want be disappointed. Semper Fi
