Fifty-Five is twice as nice

This year, Rocky Patel turned 55! So he celebrated the way any cigar legend would celebrate a milestone birthday. He blended an awesome cigar. Rocky Patel Fifty-Five is a new, top-shelf addition to the boutique Rocky Patel brand. Technically speaking this one’s part of Rocky’s “Artisan” Series, and is made at the company’s factory in Esteli, Nicaragua.

Sitting on the top of every Rocky Patel Fifty Five is a gorgeous, reddish-brown Nicaraguan wrapper leaf. Underneath, you’ll find a tasty Costa Rican binder and Nicaraguan long-fillers. You’ll get an awesome mixture of creamy cocoa and cinnamon, with slight oak and pepper on each puff. It’s tough to compare all of Rocky’s awesome cigars, but for my money, this is one of his best blends on the market today. So let’s light one up, and wish Rocky a happy birthday in style.

A well constructed cigar that always draws well and burns slowly and evenly. I've seen several reviews and descriptions on various cigars that mention a pre-light barnyard aroma, in a good way. RP Fifty-Five has this aroma more prominently than any other cigar. Also, the aroma while smoking and after I'm done is outstanding. Just a great smoke in every way.

This cigar is a coin toss , I’ve bought at lest seven boxes from different sources and they appear to have quality control issues , when you get a good box you’ll know it , they are an aged medium cigar with okay draw and taste incredible to the last 1/2 inch I would have give it 5 stars if consistency was there

I really enjoy this cigar. Smooth draw, burns well and even, great flavor and pairs wonderful with some Clyde Mayes bourbon. Absolute treat and a great way to end an evening on the back porch. Even the wife commented how good the smell of this cigar was.

I’ve already smoked four boxes of these and they are some of the best aged cigars out there in my opinion , taste is great from the start and the last 1/3 is so good you will burn your fingers trying to smoke the last inch

I actually picked this one up by mistake. Only RP I liked to this point was the Vintage 1992. I thought it was an AB until I got it home. I'm smoking it now. I like it! A bit tangy, burns even and smooth. Very nice flavor. You can't miss on this one! I'll be getting more of these bad boys!

Disappointed. Cigar drew well and tasted great but outer wrapper started peeling off after about 3 puffs. Towards the end of the smoke I had no outer wrapper left. Bought 3 RP 55's at Georgetown Tobacco in Washington DC. They were the first out of a new box. Maybe a storage issue

I give very few 5 star reviews. This cigar knocks its competition out of the park. I am not a big RP fan; but I tried this cigar on a whim. I was not disappointed. The draw is excellent and the flavor is by far one of the best on the market. It lacks the typical RP bite with fuller bodied blends. It still has that fuller body that I love from other brands. It has some very earthy notes that leave the smoker with a great experience.
