Rocky Patel Disciple is the first of two new PCA 2021 debuts who releases are aimed at being contrasting lines. Rocky Patel Disciple is the darker and stronger stick of the two. Made at Rocky's factory in Nicaragua, Disciple uses a Mexican San Andrés wrapper around a hearty Nicaraguan blend to create a medium to full-bodied smooth profile filled with notes of wood, earth, and subtle pepper. My favorite full bodied cigar. Dark wrapper, flawless construction. Cigar opens up with espresso and pleasant notes of cedar. The finish balances out the robust flavors with a very enjoyable gentle peppery character.

Like every other Rocky Patel cigar I have smoked, this was yet another one of exceptional quality. Very even burn with an ash almost as white as snow. The cold draw hinted a small amount of spice however the first draw has no spice flavor that I could detect. It remain fairly consistent through each puff with some boldness noted in the final 1/4 as it nears the nub stage. The finish is one of my favorites. Don’t deny yourself this pleasure

The flavor of this cigar was phenomenal, extremely robust paired well with an Irish whiskey. The cigar burnt very evenly and never ran into any issues with tunneling. This smoke was overall extremely enjoyable. The cigars international website made it extremely easy to find something new but in my wheelhouse of enjoyment and it arrived extremely quick!

All the cigars are good, but arrive dried out. Fall apart before I’m finished smoking. Should have moisture packets in baggie for travel in my opinion. So dried out that it takes forever to get back to smoking peakness

Dark, like a wonderful cup of black coffee. Not a bitter, harsh cup of black coffee, but strong, dark, with a lovely undertook of lighter flavors. That’s what this cigar was like for me.

Excellent smoke from start to finish. Great draw with plenty of smoke. Nice even burn. Full of flavor including nice coffee notes at the end

Construction is beautiful. Nice oily San Andreas wrapper. Touched up the burn several times but no biggie. Beautiful white ash shows the tobacco is quality and properly aged. Flavor and finish is mostly woody cedar and oak with a touch of black pepper. Not Rocky’s best stick, but certainly not bad.
