Peterson My Mixture 965 Pipe Tobacco

9/10, very very good smoke with an abundance of flavor. Quality tobacco eith a rich taste. The obly reason its not a 10 is the burn rate is a bit on the faster side as the tobacco is on the thinner side.

Tremendous flavor and burn longevity, especially for a flake tobacco. I was completely impressed, especially after reading some of the negative reviews. I will be buying this again and again!

A classic English mixture of Latakia and Oriental tobaccos. Phenomenal smoke and an incredible aroma. Many imitators but few can match the flavor balance and aroma of the leader of the tobacco armada!!

Great English/Scottish blend

Excellent, smooth smoking blend. Doesn't overpower, nice complex taste with plenty of English style character. The website is a pleasure to navigate, and the product descriptions are spot on.

Very flavorful. The Latakia in this blend is used more as a side dish then the main course and is not overwhelming like I can be in some blends. This also makes it a lighter on the palate, but still brings out a rich flavorful smoke.

Weep no more for Dunhill boys, for Peterson has indeed brought it back. I took holiday at Outer Banks, NC expressly to discover what Peterson had going on with their: My Mixture 965 and was absolutely thrilled. An English mixture, this blend of brown, what I took to be Virginia based cavendish was sublime. Sweet, delicately flavored with just the right amount of strength accompanied by light colored, sun cured and fermented oriental tobaccos produced a wonderfully cool and dry smoking pipe. Savoring the best for last, in true classic fashion, small leaf latakia took it over the top and out of the ball park. Smaller leaves producing enhanced aroma added a satisfaction level to this blend that left nothing to be desired. To quote the tin, "Balanced smoking tobacco. Fresh with a rich flavor. Original recipe." The management of Dunhill elected to play hardball when they discontinued My Mixture 965, and indeed Peterson has stepped up to the plate and hit the winning home run ! Well played and well done.

The 965 packs easily and tastes great

With a history like Dunhill's, and an equally excellent reputation among smokers, I figured that 965 would be good, and it is! The usual Dunhill Virginia taste works perfectly with the earthy Latakia, and it is a very pleasant and full flavored smoke while at the same time not being too heavy or strong to be enjoyed at any time of day. Very satisfied.

This is a quality pipe tobacco that smokes very well. It is among my favorites.

Little too much Latakia for my taste.
