Two decades of awesome-ness

It’s a celebratory time in CI Nation. And I’m not just talking about our everyday beer chugging, cigar burning celebrations, this year is really special. Cigars International is celebrating our 20th anniversary. That’s right, it’s been two amazing decades of this awesome website, and what other way to commemorate than by joining Nick Perdomo in celebrating 20 years as well.

With an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and long-filler, the recipe to this cigar is deceiving. On paper, you see a blend like any other. But light it up, and Perdomo’s skill at blending and selecting high-quality leaves is undeniable. Creamy, cedary pillows of flavor are kept interesting with a slight spice and sweetness that makes sure you’ll be coming back for more. Give it a bit, and I’m sure we’ll see a 90+ rating soon on this one.

As a medium-strong cigar smoker, I was dumbfounded by this exquisitely crafted torpedo. Perfect draw, smooth as silk and CREAMY. The larger ring gauge delivered plenty of dense smoke without overwhelming. A little grassy for the first draw or two, but the sour notes of an un-aged cigar disappeared almost instantly. Perfectly constructed with flawless burn. A box is in my cart.

Waiting, for my wife and friend, to come back from shopping in Winter Park FL., I went into the Cigar Store and asked for a good smoke. He recomended the Perdomo 20th Connecticut. As, I age, I am moving to a more mild cigar. I smoked about 1/2 (still waiting), I walked back into the store and purchased a full box. This cigar was that good! Anyway, anyone I have shared these with (got to be a good friend) say the same thing, and buys a box after smoking.

Aside from the fact that this Connecticut is a rapid burner, removing the band requires the skill of a surgeon. Vety frustrating. They must be using Gorilla glue. Always the danger of damaging the wrapper. Considering the price of this cigar, it's mind boggling.
