A handsome Honduran handmade

You may have heard of Leaf by Oscar for their clever packaging — each cigar is wrapped in a raw tobacco leaf after it’s done being rolled. But if you’ve never tried one, let me assure you: this is not just a marketing gimmick! The tobacco perfectly encloses each cigar, protecting it from any sort of damage in the same way that cellophane would. Unwrap the leaf, and you’ll find a flawless presentation underneath. 

For the Sumatra version of this fan-favorite boutique brand, blend master Oscar Valladares utilized a, you-guessed-it, Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper overtop the usual Honduran binder and long-filler. Coming in just a tad above medium-bodied, Leaf by Oscar Sumatra delivers a full-flavored mixture of natural tobacco, citrus, and black and white pepper. It’s a most worthy addition to their portfolio, and one I can easily recommend to any lover of boutique cigars.

The Leaf by Oscar Sumatra toro is a great cigar. I have one of them when I don’t have time to have the Sumatra Gordo. Full bodied taste, and great all around.

Probably one of the best balance cigars I have had in a long time. Started out with that if you’re tobacco taste and just kept getting better. If you haven’t had one then you won’t know, so go have one.

I run a lodge in montana and i use these as complimentary cigars one of my personal favorites too. Good all around cigar for people not to light not to dark, and the presentation… come on ! Highly recommended.

Leaf is a great product. Smokes great, burns great. I have had the Madura and Sumatra, the leaf wrapper provides protection and every cigar comes out perfect. I look forward to trying the Connecticut for a different aroma.

Leaf by Oscar Sumatra wrapper. The outer leaf wrapper provides for the freshness of the sticks. I noticed notes of coffee and pepper in the smoke. This is not a cheap cigar but worth every penny.

These have been a favorite since I met Island Jim in Hannibal Missouri a few years ago. I was having a cigar and a beer with my wife at an outside table. Island Jim and his wife joined us in the same area and we started chatting. Later he gave me a few “Leafs”.

This cigar is a good smoke - exciting to open up "wrapper" which is another leaf over the cigar. Once you unwrap the cigar - you get to the prize which is the cigar itself. I normally only smoke one cigar but this was so good I ended up smoking three in a row.

Enjoyable cigar! Goes from hard to look at to unwrapping a thing of beauty. From the leaf out comes a wonderful aroma, clean burn,! Great with wine or bourbon, Can make it thru a lengthy conversation and make the night go from good to great! This cigar is a favorite of mine for sure!

I love LEAF BY OSCAR.... THE MADURO IS GREAT BUT THIS "SUMATRA" IS THE BEST CIGARS I'VE SMOKED IN A LLLOONG TIME. VERY SMOOTH BUT WHAT A TASTY PUNCH AS YOU EXHALE! I KEEP LICKING MY LIPS after ea puff. Nutty, Toast, just GREAT. MAX OF TEXAS
