A collaboration between “Island Jim” and Oscar Valladares, Leaf by Oscar is a boutique brand worthy of a second glance. Offering up four different versions of their handcrafted creation, today we’ll be checking out the Corojo wrapped option – a medium-bodied charmer that I’m sure tons of you out there will dig. 

Now before you go dogging this cigar, remember to remove the outer tobacco leaf. Underneath, you’ll find that the stick is actually quite beautiful, glistening with oils that have been perfectly protected by the raw tobacco on top. And it’s not just a looker, this thing performs! Toasting the foot, you’ll find a woodsy and nutty core of flavors, with hints of red pepper spice throughout. In short, this should definitely go on your “must-try” list.

This is my new favorite cigar. You’ll be surprised when they arrive with leaf wrapper and maybe wonder, “what am I to do with this?”… fear not. Oily and redolent with flavor, easy-drawing & great burn… it’s a real achievement. My only complaint: they never seem to go on sale.

My favorite cigar. It has an oily wrapper with a perfect draw and, every enthusiast I know characterizes it as overall medium bodied, yet, super flavorful gem. A triumph! Packaged with care and arrived expeditiously. Seek this one out!!

One of my favorite, Draw is easy, but not so that it burns quickly. Flavoring is smooth, easy and very enjoyable. Package is definitely deceiving, out cover ( leaf ) is not pretty, but it’s unique and different. The stick itself is beautiful.

Love this cigar! First had it at Leaf and Bean in Pittsburgh. Been a fan for years since then. Beautifully made and the tobacco wrapped cigar is a wonderful and unique presentation. I’d consider this a medium to slightly full body smoke. Leaf by Oscar is a must try!

I want to say 5 stars but something is holding me back. It burned like a champ, good smoke, cream, very mild. This may sound crazy as a review point but if you close your eyes after a puff, you wont even know when the smoke leaves your mouth, its that mild. However, I do get a slight cream taste and it was there for at least 70% of the cigar. The ash was not white by any means, had a tan ting, it held on long. The cigar never went out and again I got a lot of smoke, great draw.
