Illusione Candela

Lancero is for gentlemen and gentlemen only the profile is of white grapes and naturally sweat cream the only issue I had was the draw on 2 out of the 5 but that's what you expect from Lanceros in this price range overall great smoke try pairing this with any light beer or a citrus cocktail enjoy

I like a good candela for a change of pace. I've tried a lot of them. Some of the best cigar makers, such as Aruturo Fuente, make a candela I'm just not crazy about. Rocky Patel makes a pretty good one, but my favorites are Illusione and Ashton. This one has a better price point. The small ring guage is not an issue - burns evenly and delivers flavor.

I like this cigar and always have been a fan of Lonsdale and or Lancero sizes. What this candela wrapper lacks is that sweet grassiness of a candela leaf, which is why I enjoy them. Other then that, it's a well made enjoyable cigar. The only thing keeping it from 5 stars is the classic characteristics of a candela wrapper

Do not rush this experience, as it is an very slow even burning true Candela experience; Every puff has an easy draw yielding generous amounts of smoke that does not irritate the eyes and the tip does not smolder; Consistent flavors and aroma throughout that of mellow to medium notes of natural wood, earth, and wild grasses, accented off and on with subtle notes of both light leather and tingles of white pepper; Light aftertastes of the same barely linger afterwards; The last third starts to lean toward bold medium and is richer in flavor and aroma while still retaining consistency; No bite throughout; The entire stick lasted well over two and one half hours! I like to enjoy this cigar when I want to totally relax for long periods of time without any cigar aftermath what-so-ever; This gem ages in an dedicated White Tail Glass Top Humidor all by its self; Humidor: 73% @ 83.2F;

TrueType a great example of a double claro cigar. Aging in my humidor since 2011, the cigar provided a perfect burn along with exhibiting the finer aspects of this type of wrapper. A clean vegetal and tobacco flavored experience was provided.

Save some frustration and money, go with La Flor Dominican Double Claro ---all over better! The poor Illusione had great flavor, but awful construction.

This is a nice smoke, if you want something mellow with a simple flavor profile. This cigar taste like I'm having a big cup of green tea. The green tea flavor profile is so strong, that if there are other nuisances to this cigars my palate doesn't recognize them. Since this is an extremely acquired taste, I'd recommend buying this in small quantities to see if you like it.

Excellent cigar. This is what a true double claro is supposed to be. Very mild body with slightly sweet flavors of grass, green tea and cane. So many candelas taste like burning grass and front lawn leaves that they give candelas a bad reputation. This one hits it right out of the park. Other than the slightly uneven burning, these are a fantastic stick. If you want to try a true double claro, these are one of the sticks you should start with. If they would burn more even, I'd give it 5 stars. But definitely worth 5 stars for flavor alone.
