Set it and forget it!

The Hydra is the most sophisticated electronic humidifier available today. The 'SG' commercial model is fully prepared to properly regulate the humidity inside cabinet or commercial humidors up to 8 cubic feet. Better still, it is fully adjustable to cover your needs, considering your storage space is of a lesser size. The large LED display provides an accurate relative humidity every 30 seconds for increased assurance that your cigars are being properly cared for. Additionally, both an audible and visual 'low water' indicator alerts you when the cartridge is low. But don't worry, it'll be a long time before you hear or see this alert, and spare cartridges can be purchased to keep your Hydra running an optimum capacity. 

The beauty behind the Hydra is its flexibility. It can be used in a smaller, 100 capacity humidor just as easily as a larger, cabinet style humidor, achieving the same results. The unit even contains ports for external fans to distribute humidity and airflow within the humidor even more efficiently. This unit is designed to use a 1000mA power supply, making it much more powerful than the competition.

I’ve had mine in continuous operation for 12 years. Still running like a champ. Switched out foam for the propylene glycol beads several years back. Never an issue with maintaining correct humidity, and this thing has resided in the Pacific Northwest, Southwest desert, and now New England. I have a well built humidor and have always properly placed this unit in it, zero issues the entire time.

Worked well until it didn't. Lasted about three years. The plug in is very thin and mine broke within the first month, but I had an old computer sitting around with the same type of wiring so it was an easy fix. Make sure you understand how the "low water" alert button works, cuz having that wake you up in the middle of the night sucks. I turned mine off and just make sure I check it on fridays and when the weather is hot and dry wed/fri. I was going to get another one of these, because it did work well and fit my cabinet very well. But it isn't bluetooth compatible, and the one that is, is actually cheaper than this one. Which makes me sad since I like this company.

FYI: If you have external fans in your humidor, be sure to keep them away from this humidifier. I had my external fan to close. The humidifier kept giving me the alert tone to add water, even tho it was full. If this humidifier constantly stays on for an hour, the alert will sound. This will happen if air is blowing over or around the humidifier too close. I learned the hard way with this. I found that if I put the humidifier in the back on the bottom, and the fan towards the front on the bottom, it works perfectly.

Seems to work just fine; however, They only sent one dc power ribbon, and these things historically break pretty easily. They’re pretty darn cheap too so I don’t understand why we only send one of them. When I ordered my Leveille back in the day I think there was four of them in there. So I was a little unimpressed with that. It’s pretty quiet for now, we’ll see how it goes after I’ve had it for a while. Overall it’s not a bad purchase. I would encourage the manufacturer to include a few extra ribbons.

Just bought this one so don't have much history with it, but I'm liking it so far. Using it in a 75-100 count display humi. Previously owned a Cigar Oasis Ultra 2.0 which, in my view, was wasted money. This Hydra holds a lot more water, for a lot longer time, and so far requires little or no attention. If all these good things hold, then I'm a Hydra guy.

I bought a new 150 cigar humidor. loved the style and look of the case but couldn't get it to hold a good humidity. Tried many different products a n techniques and nothing seemed to work I purchased and installed the Electronic Humidifier and within 8 hours humidity was where I wanted it and has held for a number of weeks now. Easy to use, adjustable and low maintance. I love it.

I really became tired of checking, adding and adjusting my static humidor (100ct) and decided to get this to make life easier. It takes up a little more room that I expected as in the vertical position it won’t let the top tray rest in, so I have it on its side. I also noticed that I had to bump up it’s humidity level in order to get better readings in the upper portion of the humidor. All in all, easy to use, setup and not worry about so we can get back to the good parts….

This is a second or third replacement cartridge for my Hydra. If that sounds like a lot, it's not ... I've had this humidifier for years. Works great and quietly. What more do you need?

This is the second hydra i have used in my end table humidor and it continues to keep my cigars at optimum humidity the first hydra lasted 9 years with no problems just keep the low water alarm on and it will let you know when it is time to refill.

This thing works great(Hydra Water Cartridge), and keeps the humidity perfect. The tank is big and lasts a long time. The unit is bigger than I expected, about the size of six robustos stacked 2 wide and 3 tall. I added the optional fan unit to mine, which helps circulate the air. The humidity level is adjustable on this unit and it can be calibrated. figuring out where to put the add on fan was kind of tough...I actually just have it laying in the top tray. Just a warning -- If your humidor is less than 150 capacity, this unit is probably too big. Also note that the Humi-Care unit also available from CI appears to be exactly the same as the Hydra, but costs less.
