This humidor is very beautiful and has a solid construction. It arrived quickly and in perfect condition. Wow, the pictures on the web site don't do it any justice. It has a rich, dark cherry wood finish. A very elegant humidor, indeed. I get compliments on the appearance constantly. I love the key and lock, too. I have to keep my collection in tact. I highly recommend this humidor for cigar lovers. I also got the Humi-Care XG1000 Pro Humidifier and it is user friendly and very quiet. I am very excited about this investment. I will enjoy it to the fullest.
Here are my thoughts on the Chancellor Antique Tower Humidor. It arrived about 5 days after I ordered it and arrived very well packaged, weighing in at a reported 180 lbs. This is a well-made humidor, and it shows. The cedar lining and shelving are quite thick. The door fits and seals flush in its recessed opening. The power plugs fit well in the back (even has predrilled holes for the screws). After seasoning it with distilled water, setting up a Humi-Care XG1000 Pro Humidifier and letting it run all night, all four calibrated hygrometers read 72%. I do wish there was a little more room for circulation, but if you put some humidification gel or crystals at the top you’ll be fine. The reported width of this unit is 24”. This applies to the top molding and feet; the body is narrower. The interior dimensions are 14.5” wide, 13” deep, and 58” tall. This should give you some idea of its storage capacity. Overall, I’m very pleased with this humidor and with the service I received from CI. You can find these humidors elsewhere online for a little less, but spend a few extra $$ and get it from CI because you know the service will be there and they stand behind their products.
This humidor is well made, in fact I was surprised when it arived how well made that it was. the fact that it was made in china was A let down, but never the less I will give A good review. Ok the only con that this humidor has is not that it's made in china but that their is no room at all in the back for circulation, I use a humi care pro in the bottom of the humidor and fans in the top. I've had this humidor for about 6 month now and every cigar in my humidor is resting and aging fine.By the way I do trust this humidor to rest and age A very high end and every day smokes.
A very nice looking and super functional piece of equipment. Every cigar lover should have one of these babies. The only down side to this bad boy is that like just about everthing these days, it's made in China.
