I've been buying bulk tobacco, and very unsatisfied. Tried Captain Black cherry, and wow... Moisture was right on, aroma and taste are fantastic. I actually wish I bought more, and other packs of Captain Black's tobacco.

Takes me back to when I first began smoking a pipe!!! Wonderful experience. I forgot just how good an aromatic can be. Wife likes the aroma and says it’s okay to smoke it in the house. She never said that about cigars! It’s great to be reacquainted with an old friend!

This stuff right when you open the bag smells like the old ludens cherry coughdrops that were sold in the candy section at 7-11 [not to be confused with real menthol coughdrops] and cherry tootsie roll pops. The tobacco color is a beautiful bright yellow and light brown mix, and when smoked, has a room note of powdered cherry candy, the signature captain black sweetness, and a strange hint of dried strawberry incense sticks on the tip of the tongue and in the air....VERY STRONG STUFFand GREAT to cut a regular tobacco with as this overpowers it with just a very small amount [or smoke alone and sweeten the air for hours]...LOVE IT!!!

This is my all time favorite pipe tobacco. Smooth, tasty, and very aromatic. Best part is that my wife will even let me smoke this in the house! And CI delivers the goods once again! Great customer service with these guys!

New to pipe smoking and this disappointed me a little bit. The aroma fresh out of the packet is wonderful, but after the light it does smell a bit like a cough drop. It is easy to lit and stay burning and for the cheap price, I can deal with learning and practicing with this packet.

Ahhhh the aroma of Captain Black Cherry Pipe Tobacco fills the room the minute you open the pouch. The aroma of sweet cherries and cedar is marvelous. It's a fine smoke too, wisps of grey smoke tendrils encircle your head. And trust me others around you will enjoy Captain Black's cherry aroma. Not the most expensive pipe tobacco on the market, but a true competitor to the boutique brands. CI has great deals on all of the Captain Black Pipe Tobaccos, so give 'em all a try, you won't be dissatisfied with any of them.

I put this up against B&M cherry bulk and its fantastic. I wanted a fruity blend that smoked well and smells heavily of cherries this is the dish for sure. Burns very well , light but aromatic smoke , really if it came in 1 lb cans I would swoop up and get some. My wife also tried it in her peterson and she loves it , told me to put it on the "to order" list ..Dont hesitate at all if you want something fruity to smoke with good taste

Not my favorite but, cannot complain about the quality and true to its taste. It has a dark full tobacco flavor with a strong cherry presence, if you like cherries I recommend trying this.
