A Jet Black Beauty from CAO

CAO’s MX2 is a long-awaited, limited production cigar that employs two flavorful wrappers. The outermost leaf is an ultra-dark, super oily Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro. Underneath, there’s a second wrapper leaf — fuller-flavored Brazilian Maduro. On their own, each of these wrappers would be high-quality enough. But combine the two, and you’ve got something completely stunning. 

To mix the pot even more, the folks at CAO use a blend of select long-fillers from Nicaragua, Honduras, Peru, and the Dominican Republic to complete this complex handmade. The resulting profile is packed with layer after layer of spicy, sweet flavors. If you’ve ever enjoyed a maduro cigar, you better add this one to your cart as quickly as possible.

I fell in love with the CAO Icon when it was available. Probably burnt through 3 boxes before they were gone. Luckily I squirrelled away a box. These are a nice replacement.

CAO always provides a consistent product and experience. The Mx2 is no exception. Great draw and even burn. Full flavor without overpowering the palate. These age very well - keep them in the humidor for 12 months for a real treat.

This was a smooth draw from start to finish. A medium bodied smoke that starts off with the cedar notes in the first third then transitions into some vanilla/flowery notes in the 2nd third and the last third finishes with some toasty notes. Overall a great smoke and CAO once again didn't disappoint.
