Long Live Caldwell

Robert Caldwell has said, very seriously, “The purpose of Caldwell Cigars is to go wherever we must to find the most exotic flavors we can. The Caldwell Collection is made up of a number of very unique brands that utilize these premium rare tobaccos.” From the mouths of lesser brands, I’d mock this, but Caldwell is the real deal. With a blend of long-fillers from The Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, and Peru, this blend surely utilizes some rare leaves. The other cigars in the Caldwell Collection are mellow, but this one takes a medium to full-bodied approach. Your palate will be instantly greeted with notes of earth, oak, dark chocolate, and hints of black pepper. It’s a demanding and satisfying cigar that you’ll want to give your full attention too. Awesome smoke with plenty of smoke production. Flavor profile agreed with my palate. Leathery and nutty from what I gather. Excellent burn with no need for retouching.

I am a fan of the Caldwell line and The Heater has not disappointed me in the slightest. I have had 2 cigars out of the box and both times I had the same great results. Slow burn, big smoke, and spectacular flavors. Yes, I will buy these on a regular basis

Great smoke and perfect burn. I’m a Caldwell fan but I’m really liking this stick which is right up there in the top 3 of the many blends. Spicy which gives it the bite I’m into along with a bunch of flavors that are hard to pin down. I like when my cigar goes through several flavor changes. Medium to full with a razor sharp white ash makes it hard to not chain smoke these babies. Well worth the list price but the diligent eye can ferret out a deal maybe 30% or more lower.

I'm a medium to full bodied smoker and I have enjoyed some of Caldwell's other medium bodied offerings. I figured this would be a good smoke but wasn't expecting a new top 5 favorite. This cigar is outstanding all the way around tons of flavor with the right amount of oomph. Again why did I wait so damn long to try this. Get you some.

When it comes to Dominican Puros, I'm on the fence. But "Long Live the King" is just that. I gave it a try b/c I enjoy Corojo Tabacco. Smooth but full-bodied with Full flavor. This a great cigar. Very much worth the price point. I keep em' in the humidor. It's become a go to. The wrapper is oily, so I recommend sitting it out the morning if you plan to smoke in the evening.
