Tatuaje Cabaiguan

Description

If you thought Tatuaje was tough to say, try Cabaiguan on for size!

Cabaiguan is hand-crafted by Jose 'Don Pepin' Garcia in the My Father Cigars factory in Nicaragua. Tough to say, but easy to burn, this mellow to medium-bodied blend employs a smooth Connecticut seed wrapper grown under the valley mist of Ecuador. Inside, a Cuban-seed mixture of Nicaraguan long-fillers is carefully blended to promote a flavorful cigar layered with rich, hearty nuances.

Cabaiguan received a 92-point rating, noting: "Solidly rolled with a lightly-colored wrapper and a pigtail cap. It exhibits great balance with a cocoa-powder sweetness, some light black pepper notes and cedary, leather intonations."

The Tatuaje brand is incredibly highly-rated, and features a huge variety of cigars. Shop them all here

Not a big fan of light wrappers, but this cigar is unbelievable. The Nicaraguan filler gives it body without it becoming overpowering, and I find myself smoking them until I can't hold them any longer. I taste nuts, with some pepper, and no bitterness whatsoever. If you're a maduro man like me, and want a change of pace, give this cigar a try.

I'm a maduro guy, but this cigar is outstanding. My only regret is that I didn't buy more, but I'll rectify that soon enough. Expensive, but worth it.

Not a mild cigar fan by any stretch. Tried one at one of my local shops on a day when I craved a mild smoke, and I'm very impressed with the smoothness of this smoke. It has enough flavor to let you know that it is a serious cigar, but it's smooth to the point of making it an effortless, thoroughly enjoyable smoke. If you're a maduro man like me, and you feel like you want to change it up, I highly recommend trying one. Nutty flavor that gets richer as it burns down. You won't want it to end.

I think I really disagree with the other reviewers on the appearance of this cigar. To me it felt flawless; smooth, a bit of a shine of oil, very little veins. First draw brought a bit of cocoa, light spice and a good taste of wood. The second half is really where this guy shines. The flavors really come together and gave just a little more flavor to really satisfy a smoker with a taste for mild. I do agree for those that like a more full bodied smoke this isn't for you. But as a mild smoke goes, it's one of the best smokes I've had.

Customer Testimonials
The looks of the cigar doesn't do much for me, is really bland looking. In addition, the band doesn't do much to speak on behalf of the cigar so if we only go by looks it had two strikes against. Since I'm not one to base the quality of a cigar on looks but rather on taste. This smoke now stands a better chance of a good review. In spite of its poor showing, the cigar had an excellent draw and even burn only requiring a touch up from time to time. The flavor is very much on the mild side, and would be a great choice for the mild smokers. For those like me who prefer a much fuller body this cigar will not fill the bill. There are much better/fuller cigars than this at better prices. However, because it smokes like a champ and produces an abundance of smoke I suggest all mild to medium smokers give it a try.

Petite (Corona) (4.5"x32) Cocoa & light chocolate balanced sweetness, a bit peppery at the end. Mostly delightful! Was the 1st of the worth-while flavorful Connecticut cigars for me and still is. It's size demands you pay attention & it fulfills the expectation.

Easily one of the top five cigars I have ever smoked. It's not a pretty cigar - I found it to appear a bit washed out and pale looking - so I wasn't expecting much. What I found was a cigar that was so good I smoked it down so there was only about an inch left. I couldn't even hold the thing anymore. There were loads of pronounced flavor including a familiar Cuban metallic taste, toast, nuts, and something I can only describe as yellow cake.....it was unreal. The taste was so Cuban that I only needed a beach and a fruity rum drink to complete the experience. When I finally walked away from it, I felt a sadness in my very soul. This, my friends is what a cigar should taste like.

I had my first Caibaguan at a Don Pepin event at a local tobacconist. To this day it is the finest mild to medium cigar with a creamy and sweet profile I have ever smoked--def worth the money. Pepin has outdone himself and Pete Johnson's ability to select this blend speaks volume about his palatte and taste for fine tobacco. Try it yourself and you'll see.

Cabaiguan -- simply one of the best cigars on the market today. Up there with the best smokes I've ever had regardless of origin. Incredible construction, great leaves, great burn... wonderful craft. Pricey and worth it.

to me this smoke didn't back up the price. there are other choices out there in the same category that lean more towards budget friendly.

I recently tried this cigar in my local shop and it was amazing. There is a pretty strong pepper flavor that is present throughout. Cabaiguan is an excellent blend; a little pricey, but CI still offers the best deal hands down.

Cabaiguan, holy moly my friends. If you have not tried A Cabaiguan by Pepin Garcia, you need too. I swear Don Pepin has the midas touch. Everything that comes out of El Rey De Los Habanos is amazing and I think the Cabi is the best yet. Milder than a Tat or a Don Pepin Cuban Classic, the cigar is still medium to full. The burn was good, the draw was great but the flavor was amazing. Believe it or not, it was fruity at the start, Apricot, I kid you not, then very woody with lots of cedar. Then towards the middle to end there were faint hints of Raisin, again i kid you not. Oh my, this cigar was the most eventful I have ever smoked. You gotta try one. Happy Smoking.

Hands down, this is the best cigar Don Pepin and Pete Johnson have produced (Cabaiguan by Pepin Garcia)! There is nothing like it. Outstanding construction of course, and one of most complex, delicious tasting cigars I have ever smoked. They make my mouth water!
