Arganese Il Mezzo

Description

Il Cheroot

Arganese has been killing the bundled cigar game the past couple of years. Delivering well-constructed and flavorful handmade cigars for bottom dollar prices, they’ve earned a place in your humidor. And now they’re taking their talents in another direction. Arganese Il Mezzo is an Italian-style rustic little cheroot (open on both ends). They don’t look the prettiest, but they deliver some powerful flavors in droves.

Hailing from the Dominican Republic, they use 100% American grown tobaccos for the wrapper, binder, and filler. All dark fire cured leaves grown in Kentucky and Tennessee. Light one up and experience rich and feisty flavors that are heavy on the palate. Packaged in convenient cardboard packs of 5, these are great to carry around on a night out.

These were great other than each and every one of them was a battle to smoke, the entire box kept going out on me. I hope this was just something weird because they really were great otherwise.

I have gone through two packs so far and half of those are hard to smoke. They are rolled too tight. I try to loosen them up but its futile. The half that I have been able to smoke are good.

I have smoked many cheroots in my time and I find this one to be excellent. The 100% tobacco has a medium full strength, the ash is grey in color which means the tobacco was grown in very rich, nutrient-dense soil and rich in potassium. Good price compared to the Italian/Kentucky blend cheroots. This is my second purchase of these cigars and I highly recommend them.

Arganese cigars are a good medium smoke. The problem I had was keeping them lit, some few had holes in them, and some were to hard to draw.

I've been smoking Parodi Ammezzati for years, and didn't think I'd find another cigar I liked as well other than Toscanos ... that are WAY too expensive! These little gems are as flavorful as the Ammezzati for around half the price. I love them. For those who aren't familiar with fire-cured tobacco.... they're SUPPOSED to be dry. If you put them in a humidor and attempt to "rehydrate" them...expect them to fall apart!

Perfect little cheroot when you only have 20-30 minutes to burn one. I've always been a fan of fire-cured tobacco and these do not disappoint. Don't let the size fool you, as these are full of flavor.

Reminds me of when I was lying in a curing barn. Ugly but right for what it is. Last for perfect time,

This is a lovely, smooth draw. The flavor is strong and robust. My best substitute to the more expensive Toscano.

Arganese Il Mezzos have great flavor and great inconsistency. Whilst fairly priced these cigarillos have a few issues which hampers the experience, they're inconsistent in the tightness of the wrapping, they struggle to stay humid even in the best conditions (forget about pocket carriers, they're best right from a real humidor,) they struggle to stay lit, and even the smallest hole in the wrapper will ruin your ability to draw, you can effectively consider every fourth cigarillo to be a dud. Despite these issues I don't regret my purchase, WHEN these smoke well THEY SMOKE WELL, providing a healthy mix of mint, wood, spicy and earthy flavors. Overall I'd recommend the smaller batchs as a supplementry purchase, stay away from the bigger boxes.

These have an amazing smoke flavor that reminds me of campfire or barbecuing. If be interested in a larger size as the smoke from these goes right in your face immediately due to the short length. They can be slightly harsh if you're not careful with your puffing. They last a pretty long time however considering their size. You might think quick stand smoke but they'll surprise you. Great price and good quality.

Pretty much what I was hoping for, a decent tasting quick (15-20 minute) smoke, perfect for those moments where I don't have to time to light up a full sized cigar. Construction is OK, sometimes a little loose but no matter, good enough for the quick smoke. Draw is decent as should be expected for a small cigar and the burn is good enough to avoid a re-light. I'd buy them again if the price is right.

These are great. It’s Kentucky tobacco wrap so there is a difference in smell and taste, almost like pipe tobacco. They are pre cut and draw well.

I like a break from the robusto sized cigars I usually buy, have bought Parodi's from a local store many times, and decided to try these when I saw them in the catalog. They are the perfect size for a quick smoke before work & for when I get home at night, when I wind down with a smoke & a drink. Easy to light, no need for a touchup unless you disregard it for a bit, good amount of smoke & not harsh at all. I would recommend these for those that want a smoke but may not have the time for a full size stick.

If you like smoked-wrapper cigars, then you will like these. My only complaint is that they smoke up pretty fast. The draw is smooth and the burn is clean. The overall strength is medium. And eve with fairly loose construction, they still don't run on you.

Other than the peculiar odor when opening a case, taste is ok. The Clint Eastwood look when you smoke it is free.

Nice billows of smoke from an easy draw, and a pleasant wood smoke, like, the smoke to fire up at the barbecue. The price point is nice, and I like to smoke them when working in the garage and yard.
