AJ Fernandez has been a household name in the cigar world for years now. Utilizing tobaccos all from Nicaragua and even from AJ’s own farm, Dorado (meaning golden), isn’t something that just happens every day. It’s like a passing comet, or the Philadelphia 76er’s winning a championship… if you get to experience it your pretty lucky! This puro boasts a golden yellow band sitting atop a flavor-packed Habano Sun Grown wrapper. Notes of earth, pepper, and leather greet the palate from the first puff to the last. And if you still weren’t convinced, a hefty 94-rating should help put any worry to rest.

I love these. My stepdad brought me back one from Florida. I was hooked so I bought a box. On my second box now. Never had a Figurado. They must be hand rolled which I think makes it authentic. Any cigar that cost you 10 bucks better be good and this one is from the very first puff. It’s all flavorful right away. I like a spice and pepper in my cigar and this one has it from the start to finish. All 10 of mine burn great and the draw is just right. I highly dought you’d regret these.

I think this cigar is more of a medium than medium full. It is well constructed and has a good draw. I tasted hints of Carmel or toasted marshmallow. I’d buy this cigar again

I recently purchased AJ Fernandez Dorado cigar at my local shop and enjoyed it. I purchase a box online of what I imagined to be close to the size I enjoy (6x60). The closest size online was the figurados. Unfortunately I didn't do my homework and went soley by the picture of the box of cigars on CI which showed a box of parejos and not figurados. Needless to say, I did a lot of research on how to smoke figurados. It was still an enjoyable smoke, but I still perfer parejos. Not sure if CI would consider updating pictures of figurados prior to check out, but I consider this more as my fault because I wasn't familiar with shaped cigars aka figurados. Haven't smoked any from the box I purchased from CI....but I know how great this cigar is! It's available from my local cigar shop, and I've been smoking it since January. My purchase from CI is sitting in the cooler waiting for perfect weather, so I can properly savor the experience.
