Xikar Volta Quad Flame Table-Top Lighter

This lighter has a nice range of flame adjustment. It has some heft to it, so it won't get knocked over easily. Just make sure you wait until the flame dies down and goes out before handing off to someone else to use. The flame doesn't shut off immediately. It's a Xikar, of course it's quality made.

Nice lighter. Good weight and feels nice in hand. Only complaint is 1 of the 4 jets doesn't put out aswell. For the price it should be performing perfectly.

Solid, good performance, serious flame. Maybe the reviews criticizing solidity were on items. Prior to an update? Only issue for me is that the quad flame eats a lot of fuel. Flame adjustment is frequent. One-handed operation is likely to turn the shutter or flame wheel when you mean the other one. But I’m happy.

As with most things that identify themselves by name, you pay for the name printed on the product rather than the quality of the product. This lighter is case in point. The lighter I got had such a short jet even at the highest setting that I had to take it apart to set the internal adjustment and this is what I found. The heft you feel is from pot metal used to cast the shell pieces; not aluminum. The reason why some report rattling noises is that the top and bottom are held on by tiny screws attached to plastic pieces within. They aren’t long so there is a high possibility you will strip the plastic threads they screw into if you try to tighten them. You can probably pull the adjuster knob off with very little effort. If you drop it on a hard surface, the bottom will probably crack or break off. I got this lighter to replace the Vector I accidently destroyed with my lawn mower (LONG story). I had the Vector for 5 years and never had an issue with it. Rarely had to touch the adjustment and that’s only because I had neglected to bleed it in between fueling. The Xikar seem to be firing well now but I just ordered a Vector in case it falls apart from me taking it apart. If you want a quality table lighter that is built to last, I suggest buying a Vector or a Prometheus. Both are way less expensive than the Xikar.

This is another great product from Xikar (as always). I've only had the lighter for a few weeks now, but it lights every time with just one push of the button. This thing DEFINITELY lights your cigars in a hurry! You won't be disappointed.

The Volta quad flame works great but not the table top I expected. It is not as well built as you would expect from Xikar. The unit rattles when you handle it and when set it down you hear a metal against metal clash. The flame adjustment ring is easy to change, when you don't want it to, when you open the top of the lighter. I was contemplating returning the unit but the quad flame is really great and the unit looks cool. I think this is an item you need to see and hold before you buy. Not a good item to buy over the internet.

I ordered the Xikar volta table top lighter and had it within a few days...well packed and on time. No surprises because it was exactly what the CI website described down to the smallest detail. Hefty, solid and well made. Has the feel of a precision instrument. For all things cigar related you needn't look any further than Cigars International.

A great table lighter as I am a fan of Xicar for their quality products, and stand behind their products warranty. A loft of heft, easy to fill and will light anything. Just be careful when putting it down because you can easily dent or crack a coffee table.

I'm a Xikar fan to begin with but they really did a good job this time. This lighter is hefty in the hand and since I have larger hands very comfortable. The only knock I would have if I had to complain about something is the sound the flame adjustment makes. It's a little clunky sound sometimes but that's minimal. It's pricey but well worth it in my opinion. LARGE fuel tank as well.
