This is my favorite cigar, for a couple reasons. Great, mild flavor. I'm a mild kind of guy. Flavor holds all the way to the end of the smoke. The 6x60 is my favorite size. The price is reasonable. The other reason I like it is because my dear, recently departed wife bought me a box of Sherman's shortly after I started enjoying cigars in the early 70's. It was the first full box of cigars I ever owned and they were Nat Sherman's. Donna didn't know anything about cigars and I don't know how she found them, but she certainly made the right choice! Every stick brings memories of her sweet kindness. Glad I can get these from C.I.

Customer Testimonials
Great mild cigar, good beginner cigar or if you're just in the mood for something mellow.
MB of Highland, CA
After smoking my first pack of 5 - 6x60, I have to say that this is the most mild cigar I have ever smoked. I ordered a second pack of 5 in the same 6x60 size. It provides a nice change of pace to the Perdomo 10th Ann. Champagne. When you feel like something a little more mild.
KK of New Richmond, WI
Received my order today that included the Nat Sherman Hamilton Corona. Nice mild smoke with a hint of sweetness. If you like your pleasure on the mild side, can't go wrong with Nat.
FK of SEA GIRT, NJ
Just had my first Nat Sherman Host in size Hobart (5X50). It was a very pleasant surprise. This will be going into my high rotation for sure. Very unique creamy oily film on the mouth. Leathery sweetness abounds with a very well balanced pepper that stays on the finish till the next draw. They call this a mild... the flavors were more like a med to full. If you have a chance to enjoy one of these, don't pass it up

Got the robusto version in a build your own sampler special and I do not regret it. I'm more of a fuller bodied smoker but I do like to smoke a "palate cleansing" mild cigar every now and again. Couldn't be happier with these smokes, they burn great, have tremendous smoke output, and have the most delicious hint of sweetness. Currently smoking one while writing this. Well done Nat Sherman. I will re-order in the future.
GD of SUNBURY, OH
Nat Sherman Host: Very easy to light. Excellent construction, draw and burn. Voluminous smoke output that is thick and creamy on the palate. Mild to medium strength with medium to full flavor. Flavors of sweet vanilla, cream and nutmeg with a medium length finish of nuts, sweet dough and toasted cedar.

I have to follow up on the previous review I wrote concerning the Nat Sherman cigar. The first one I smoked must have been one of those bad cigars we often receive. The ones I smoked after that is more in line with what others have written. This is a great cigar in every area, & the next time I write a review it will be after I tried more than just one. Please accept my apology.

Because all of the previous reviews have been positive. I will assume I'm one of those individuals who must have receive a bad 5 pack....The Nat Sherman 7x50 5 pack I receive have been the worse cigars I've smoked In years. The words harsh, bitter, hot, lack of draw & smoke are just a small description of my experience. The taste they left in my mouth took awhile to go away. I'm so disappointed since I had wanted to try these for years. I may break down & try another size since others give great reviews....

My favorite cigars. Light taste of sweetness on the wrapper, burns evenly and is very mild. I would recommend this to everyone

This is what a cigar should be. I will go back to work just so I can enjoy a Nat Sherman.
JM of Ballston Spa, NY
Love these cigars...all sizes. The touch of sweetness on the tip actually works in this instance (most cigars, it wouldn't). The construction and draw is flawless. The taste is outstanding, the type that leaves you wishing for more. The only problem is that they are no longer "dirt cheap" as the ad says.
TM of MAMARONECK, NY
Nat Sherman and Gispert are two of the best mild and flavorful cigars to me that leave no lingering aftertaste . They will leave you satisfied and the cost and construction/burn are great. Not everyone can afford Monticristo . Macanudo Hampton court are good but leave a wet hay taste in my mouth. Don Diego has no aftertaste and is probably the best cigar to offer a newbe for the cost . However, after a while my taste has advanced...now it's Nat Sherman and Gispert for my budget.

I read the discription from CI and deceided to try a box several years ago. I was hooked, mild cigar with a slight hint of sweetness that burns evenly throughtout your smoke. Great cigar while on the golf course or after a nice meal.
SR of Redlands, CA
I am a lover of full bodied cigars. I do like to stock my humidor with some mild cigars from time to time and the Nat Shermans are my choice. They are slighty sweet on the palate and have a nice hint of almonds as well. You cannot go wrong with this brand.. Great great cigar...

This (Nat Sherman) is a very pleasing smoke with a nutty taste, gradually building in strength. They throw off clouds of aromatic plumes. I like the Hampton size. Glad I tried these, I will order more to keep in my rotation.
RA of Escondido, CA
I'm a beginner--at 44! This is the cigar(Nat Sherman) that has brought me into the fold of fellow tobacconauts. It starts with a hint of sweetness, and maintains a mild and balanced flavor from start to finish. I am now exploring the vast horizons of cigardom. Whatever disappointments may come in my search, I know I can always return to this cigar for satisfaction and rejuvenation!

Nat Sherman Host Selection

Gonz
Back when I was cigar newbie, I think it was the summer of '95, I walked into a tobacco shop down in the west village of NYC. I pressed my eyes against the dirty glass case to get a better look at the goods. $11 - wow, that must be a great cigar. It was a Nat Sherman brand. Never heard of it, but if it cost $11, it must be phenomenal. And next to doin' the wild thing, it was the best darn experience I had ever had. I sat on a corner for about 45 minutes just people-watching (it's quite an area) and smoking my $11 cigar. I loved every minute of it. I thought "I just spent more on a cigar than I'll spend all afternoon on food and beer". It was creamy, full-bodied, held a nice chalky-white ash, felt like the most special thing I bought in my life. Being just out of college, I couldn't believe I just spent $11 on something other than beer. Simply delicious.

Don't ask me which Nat Sherman line I smoked, all I remember is that it said Nat Sherman and it held a special place in my heart. Well, 7 years later, things are very different in the cigar industry and Nat Sherman has been a feature in our catalog for some time now. I hesitated for a few months now to actually smoke one - I didn't want to tarnish that little piece of history. I finally gave in and I picked the Nat Sherman Host Harrington for my ride home tonight.

As I write this and look back on the past 45 minutes, I think I've got myself another gem. The cigar is constructed with super-smooth Connecticut wrappers and Dominican and Honduran fillers. You'll immediately taste a slight hint of sweetness - almost like honey - very soft, barely noticeable. Spark one up and you'll quickly fill your tastebuds with a hearty, creamy smoke, and a mellow-to-medium strength on your palate. It's extremely flavorful with a hint of spice undertones. The body of this cigar is impressive, it's firm, holds a long medium-gray ash, never burns hot and never deviates from that flavor for one second. You're never left longing for more, this cigar gives it all up. There are no surprises and no imperfections. This is a superbly manufactured cigar and sure isn't some fly-by-night brand. I smoked it down to an inch and the creamy flavor and body holds throughout (and not once did the ash flake apart on my car seats!)

Today, there are a lot of great cigars out there and I hope none of you are paying $11 a stick to get your favorite. The Nat Sherman cigars start at just under $3 per stick. That's right, Crazy Eddie would be proud. And you know what - it's still manufactured like an $11 cigar. That retailer probably ripped me off in a big way. But who cares, I found a brand that I hold in the utmost respect and they impressed me yet again. I'm psyched this brand is plentiful and I'm proud it's in our catalog b/c this Honduran number is right up my alley. I love cigars, I have a passion for them, I get excited when I write about them. And, I’m often disappointed at some mediocre cigars that are rushed to market and never live up to the hype. Thankfully, this feature is my public service to all of you out there. Stick with me, I'll get you to the good ones - and this IS a great one.

I promise you'll be impressed - don't expect a "make your stomach turn" cigar, but expect a superbly constructed, superbly flavored, and superbly priced cigar that won't let you down. I bet some of you will make this your new everyday cigar - I sure will - at least until the next Pick. Spark'm up!
